MOT Education Core Curriculum Usage Guidelines
4/36

PREFACE Preface The member schools of the Japan Association of Professional Graduate Schools of Technology Management (J-MOT) developed Core Curriculum 2010 in March 2010. It had played a significant role at MOT professional graduate schools in terms of program design and accreditation. However, the rapid social, economic, scientific and technological changes later on led to the need for the review of Core Curriculum 2010. In respond to this demand, J-MOT member schools have developed the revised version of the core curriculum as Core Curriculum 2016 reflecting the opinions from industry and relevant organizations under the commission project to Enhance and Strengthen the Development of Leading Management Professionals by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sprots, Science and Technology. The MOT Education Core Curriculum is created to organize and clarify the minimum learning requirements that the guraduates of the MOT professional graduate schools must aquire and the level of achievement to be attained. Each MOT professional school must design its curriculum and courses, prepare syllabi, implement classes, and evaluate classes, respecting the core curriculum and ensuring the consistency with its own diploma policy. Taking the education in the Graduate School of Innovation and Technology Management, Yamaguchi University as an example, this brochure shows how to use the MOT Education Core Curriculum to realize systematic and effective education in the MOT professional graduate schools. I hope each MOT professional school finds clues from this brochure to realize its own unique curriculum and education. Chair, the Substantiative Research Committee of the MOT Education Core Curriculum Dean and Professor, Graduate School of Innovation and Technology Management Yamaguchi University Kazuhiro FUKUYO, Ph.D. March 1st, 2018
