Message from the President

Yamaguchi University strives to enhance higher education and revitalize academic research while responding to the diverse expectations and needs of local and international communities. Not only are the expectations and needs of society already manifested, but there are also those that have not been manifested but are extremely important. Universities that develop human resources who will lead the future need to always look to the future, not just the present era. From this perspective, Yamaguchi University plans to reform and enhance education and research while "pre-reading" social trends and social needs, and taking new initiatives ahead of others.

One of the realizations of this is the "Graduate School of Technology Management of Yamaguchi University", which aims to develop "technology managers" who support companies and organizations aiming for innovation. The aim is to develop human resources who will play a core role in innovation by learning comprehensive management of business and technology.

This graduate school is the only "MOT (Management of Technology) professional graduate school" in western Japan. Through the development of "MOT education core curriculum" and advanced and practical educational activities, this school playing a central role in training technology managers in western Japan.

This graduate school has professors who are suitable as "bases for MOT education" in Asia, and we are promoting world-class education by a variety of faculty members including those with practical experience.
